I like the images here very much. Especially the opening two rhyme-sets, through "mean."
But then the pattern seems to break down a little bit. A little variation here and there is OK, sometimes. But when you set the reader on a certain pattern and then break it, it is sometimes hard for the reader to adjust expectations.
