Hidden Smile

I know you've liked me for a while
I can see it hidden in your smile
That time you tried to tell me
I shied away from you in fear
It's just I'm afraid to let people near
Give me some time to let you in
Then perhaps the next stage can begin
I need to change my perceptions
From our friendship I had different expectations
But now that we see eye to eye
I have found that special reason why
I know that what we have is precious
So please give me the space I need
To makes those little changes
Then I'll be with you
Hopefully until eternity
